Charitable Gambling

 

The New Prague Chamber of Commerce utilizes lawful gambling through the sale of pull-tabs at the Corner Bar located at 100 West Main Street. The money raised by selling pull-tabs is donated back to community groups and organizations, as well as the City of New Prague.  Through Charitable gambling the New Prague Chamber of Commerce is able to give more than $20,000 per year to various community organizations.

 

The Charitable Gambling committee reviews requests from organizations asking for charitable gambling funds on a quarterly basis. The committee makes recommendations to the membership regarding disbursement of available funds.  The committee is open to reviewing requests more often than quarterly but ask that applicants give the committee a sufficient amount of time to respond.

The committee is also responsible for periodic auditing of games to ensure proper compliance with State of Minnesota Statutes.
