Vlcek Sculpture

This majestic carving stands in front of the public library. The "Voyage" to the New World is twenty feet high, carved entirely of solid oak and comprised of 18 different symbols. The carving was given to the city by a Czech sculptor who visited New Prague during the summer of 1995. The sculpture was done in appreciation for his son's American education and hospitality shown by the New Prague Community during his time as a Rotary exchange student.
